Ashley began her early dance training at the age of 2 1/2 at the Isabelle School of Dance in East Greenbush, NY where she later became an Assistant Dance Instructor and then a primary Dance Instructor. Ashley performed many top award winning competition pieces at regional and national dance competitions including: Dance Educators of America, Dance America Competition, Dance Educators of America, American Dance Awards, Starquest, Headliners Dance Competition, Stars of Tomorrow Competition with her solo, duet, trio, and group routines in Pointe, ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, character & hip hop. She has performed in countless recitals and other dance performances. Ashley studied Ballet at The Draper Studio for Dance Education in Rochester, NY (2005-2006), at the Berkshire Ballet (summers of 2002-2004), The American Academy of Ballet (summer of 2002), Ballet Regent (summer of 2001) and at the Albany Dance Institute (summer of 2001). Ashley attended and trained at the Dance Educators of America workshop (March of 2004), American Dance Awards in Springfield, MA (2003) and at many one day workshops offered by Dance America from 1998-2004. She was the Choreographic Assistant of the Columbia High School production of Peter Pan 2004-2005.
Ashley is currently working to obtain a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a concentration in Modern Dance and a Bachelor of Psychology with a concentration in Children from SUNY Brockport. Recently she also added a Minor in Music. She was a member of the SUNY Brockport Dance Team until 2008 and has performed in many showcases and concerts at SUNY Brockport. Ashley has worked as a crew member on the Colonial Belle since 2007. Ashley offers dance classes at AST and loves sharing her love of dance with students.
